Job Description
NASC GLOBAL a leading HR Consulting and Management firm is excited to support the search for a skilled Mammographer / Radiologic Technologist for our valued client in Andalusia AL. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to highquality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Position Overview: As a Mammographer / Radiologic Technologist you will play a critical role in patient imaging services ensuring accurate procedures and quality care. Your expertise will be essential in performing mammography and other imaging techniques while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
Compensation: Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $45000 to $52000 reflecting a commitment to attracting toptier talent for this vital role.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Review patient history and physicians orders to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
- Educate patients about the procedures equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Imaging Procedures:
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered within the scope of practice.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and report/respond to any changes in status.
Assisting Physicians:
- Assist physicians in performing interventional procedures such as fine needle aspiration and needle localization.
- Perform imaging procedures including biopsies stereotactic procedures and breast ultrasound scans.
Equipment Management:
- Prepare equipment and supplies ensuring compliance with safety standards and performing quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions reporting issues as necessary.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations and applicable accreditation.
- Analyze imaging results identify quality issues and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
Documentation:
- Enter transmit and report scan results keeping up with BiRad standards and patient followups.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology.
- One or more years of experience in Mammography preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform effectively in a highstress environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Required Licenses:
- Active registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Must be ARRT Registered and Mammography Registry Eligible.
- Active membership in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Membership in national regional state or local radiologic technology societies is desirable.
