Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology Finance and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in the government sector in search of a highly talented Functional Subject Matter Expert to support a large IT project.
Job Summary:
As a Functional Subject Matter Expert you will be responsible for engineering design integration deployment testing certification patching and addressing interoperability issues for Windows Server environments and Windows desktop operating systems. This role requires expertise in Microsoft infrastructure technologies and will support missioncritical government systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design implement and integrate Windows Infrastructure components
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Windows environments
- Create and maintain baremetal and virtual machines with appropriate configurations
- Develop and implement baselines for Windows Server environments with DISA STIGs
- Create deployment methods including network installation PXE Boot and WDS
- Develop comprehensive documentation for system configurations and deployments
- Monitor and maintain system security backup and redundancy strategies
- Provide highlevel technical support and vendor liaison
- Create and maintain custom PowerShell scripts for system efficiency
- Manage and monitor infrastructure availability and performance
- Work in hybrid environments of virtualized and cloud platforms
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Windows infrastructure
- Active Top Secret clearance required
- Must be willing to undergo CI Polygraph
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2019/2022)
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and System Center Configuration Manager
- Proficiency in DISA STIGs implementation and security policy templates
- Expertlevel knowledge of Windows deployment tools (PXE WINPE WDS ADK AIK)
- Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities
- Strong understanding of Active Directory Group Policy and digital certificates
- Expertise in multifactor authentication integration
- Proficient knowledge of networks TCP/IP storage and LAN/WAN systems
- Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
