Job Description
Client: Carefirst
Role: Senior JAVA/AWS DEVELOPER
Exp: Minimum 10 years of Development background
Location: Reston VA (Very Highly prefer Candidates Local to the DMV basically commutable to Reston VA because the client will require candidates to attend onsite meeting 2 times a month) If the candidate is not local the requirement is still the same of attending meetings onsite 2 times a month but that will be at your own expense and there will no notice period given by the client!! Candidates must be in the EAST Coast if non local!!
Rate: $60 to $70/hr

Absolute MUST HAVE and Must be current experience as well. Minimum 3 to 5 years of consistent experience required with the below.
Java Spring framework / Spring Integration MQ and Microservices
Java AWS Event Bridge AWS Development and architecture Lambda functions and EKS service.

- Modernization effort... Needs to have Technical Leadership exp and strong AWS exp... Needs to guide team in AWS maturation. Minimum 5 years of AWS development work especially understand AWS EventBridge architecture AWS EKS (used for packaging apps and deploying) and development experience.
- Migrating current apps to AWS (mostly Java).. Needs to understand Spring framework / Spring Integration. Microservices/web services Lambda functions and IBM MQ for messaging/flows.
- Needs to have been part of the design conversation along with Architects.

- Absolute Must HAVES:
- Current state is Java Spring framework / Spring Integration MQ and Microservices. (Absolute MUST HAVE)
- Future state (Absolute MUST HAVE): Java AWS EventBridge AWS Development and architecture Lambda functions and EKS service.
- Monitoring tool experience (Absolute MUST HAVE): AWS CloudWatch
- Monitoring Toole Experience (Highly Desired): AWS XRay or Datadog.
