Job Description:
- The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking to hire an Engineering Software Consultant to assist and lead in the support and implementation of engineering software within the Department. Local candidates only as the selected candidate will be required to come to the office twice a week.
- Assist Department personnel in the implementation of new engineering software
- Serve as one of the Administrators for the Departments Engineering Document Management system (Bentley ProjectWise)
- Support the Departments electronic file exchange tool (Bentley ProjectWise Deliverables Management) for internal and external staff
- Provide day to day user support
- Assist in maintaining the Departments Engineering Software standards and documentation
- Develop/conduct engineering software user training sessions
- Document/revise existing and new business processes to meet new/revised engineering software requirements
- Develop engineering software best practices
- Investigate new and emerging engineering technology and make recommendations to Department personnel and management for implementation.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and planning skills Required
- Experience using/supporting document management systems such as Bentley ProjectWise Preferred (2 years)
- Competent in the use of MS Office suite Required (5 years)
- Experience developing training materials and conducting training sessions Preferred (2 years)
- Experience providing customer support Preferred (2 years)
- Experience in developing technical documentation Required (2 years)
- Experience working in an Architectural or Engineering environment Required (5 years)
- Familiarity with ServiceNOW Nice to have
