Tasks
As an Aviation Simulator Technician youll ensure the smooth operation of flight simulators alongside your team. After the onboarding phase youll be familiar with the hardware and software and take on responsibilities such as:
- Learning and performing complex standardized technical tasks including preventive and corrective maintenance (e.g. troubleshooting repair validation or replacement of electrical and subsystem components)
- Technical support for (future) pilots during simulator sessions
- Utilizing the QM system to record and track maintenance activities
- Conducting preflight & postflight tasks on the simulators
- Performing QTG tests and evaluating the results
- Routine maintenance of computers fault diagnosis modification & repair of hardware
- Interpretation of technical drawings and schematics for mechanical hydraulic electrical & electronic components
- Regular participation in advanced professional training courses
Requirements
- Excellent command of English
- Willingness to work in a rotating 3shift system
- Place of residence near or close to Frankfurt
- Completed technical studies or training (engineering mechatronics IT electrical engineering aviation etc.)
- Strong interest in aviation and cuttingedge simulation technologies
- Ideal: Initial experience with Linux
- Nice to have: Professional or academic experience in the field of simulations and/or in the aviation industry
- Nice to have: Knowledge of German
