Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

1. Guest Assistance

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, offering a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring their belongings are handled safely.

2. Room Orientation

  • Accompany guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel amenities and services.
  • Help guests settle in by explaining how to use room features (e.g., HVAC, safe, TV).

3. Concierge Services

  • Provide information about local attractions, dining options, and transportation services.
  • Assist with reservations, ticket purchases, and arranging transportation as needed.

4. Deliveries and Pick-ups

  • Transport items such as messages, packages, and room service orders to guest rooms.
  • Retrieve luggage from guest rooms for departures, ensuring timely handling.

5. Maintaining Cleanliness

  • Keep the lobby, entrance, and bell area clean and organized, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Ensure that luggage carts and storage areas are tidy and available for use.

6. Communication

  • Maintain clear communication with the front desk and other departments to coordinate guest requests and services.
  • Report any guest concerns or issues to management for prompt resolution.

7. Security Awareness

  • Monitor the hotel premises for security concerns and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist guests with safety information as needed, including emergency procedures.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Friendly and approachable demeanor to create a welcoming environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
  • Adaptability: Able to handle varying situations and guest needs with composure.

Desired candidate profile

1- Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.

2- very good in English, foreign languages an advantage.

3- Minimum 1-year experience as a Bellman; preferably in a similar quality hotel.

4- A friendly and outgoing behavior.

5- Customer-related experience is an asset.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to interact positively with guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills for conveying information clearly to guests and colleagues.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, such as handling luggage and assisting guests simultaneously.
Personal Attributes:
Friendly and Approachable: A warm demeanor that makes guests feel welcome and valued.
Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and carrying heavy luggage and standing for long periods.
Adaptability: Flexible in handling a variety of guest requests and changing situations.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of Local Area: Familiarity with local attractions, dining options, and transportation services to assist guests effectively.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
