Roles and responsibilities
The role as an Airport Asset Management in the implementation of an approved Asset Management System (AMS) for the client's organization will demand a robust set of skills and a strategic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Asset Management:
- Responsible for contributing to the implementation support of the organization’s asset management strategy, from policy development to system enabler implementation, ensuring that the AMS integrates seamlessly into the client's overall strategic objectives.
- Providing strategic approach inputs for the development and continuous improvement of asset management practices.
- Taking leadership in Asset Management Implementation Actions (AMIA), specifically with a focus on the aligning of the Client’s tailored-made AMS with the Enterprise Asset Management approach to drive the transformation towards accredited maturity.
- Taking leadership in analyzing industry trends and incorporation of innovative solutions to enhance the client’s organizations asset management capabilities against the identified metrics.
- Supporting the execution of asset management strategies by overseeing the implementation of AMS components.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of airport operations, engineering, and asset management principles, including industry standards such as ISO 55000, GFMAM, or ICAO guidelines.
- Experience with Asset Management System transformation projects to allow tailored solutions that meet both operational efficiency, and best practices.
Project Management Skills:
- Excellent project planning skills for managing AMS transformation projects within critical and highly regulated environments, ideally airport environments, that requires project integration and execution skills; ensuring tasks such as gap analysis, AMS implementation, and development of RFP documents are developed and integrated appropriately.
- Oversee the coordination of the various asset management initiatives, tracking deliverables and milestones to ensure alignment with the overall asset management implementation actions goals.
- Work closely with Asset Management consultant and client-side teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Lead meetings and presentations related to asset management; providing updates, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration among team members and ensure effective communication channels.
Desired candidate profile
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and IT, to align the integration of asset management strategies with overall organizational goals.
- Work closely with external consultants and partners to leverage expertise, strengthen alignment and collaboration, and stay abreast of industry advancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in specialist subject, specifically assets, contracts or engineering
- 15 Years of experience
- Demonstratable expertise in Asset Management (preferably IAM Certified)
- Proven experience in advisory services, with a focus on Asset Management Systems and critical, regulated industry environments.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 55001 standards and best practices in asset management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstratable strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Project management expertise (preferably certified).
