The Tailor plays a vital role in ensuring our team members present themselves professionally in front of guests. This position not only involves the repair and maintenance of uniforms and linens but also includes assisting with guests' clothing needs. By maintaining a polished appearance for our staff and ensuring guest satisfaction, the Tailor contributes significantly to the overall guest experience and the hotel's operational success.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tailor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include, but are not limited to:

1. Uniform and Linen Maintenance: You will handle all repairs and alterations to staff uniforms and hotel linens, ensuring they are always in excellent condition. This includes stitching, patching, and other necessary modifications to maintain a polished appearance.

2. Guest Assistance: You will assist guests with their clothing needs, providing alterations and repairs to ensure their comfort during their stay. This requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of various fabric types and garment construction.

3. Administrative Duties: You will manage various administrative tasks, such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and reporting on the status of tailoring requests. Your organizational skills will be crucial in keeping track of the items that need attention and ensuring timely completion of all requests.

4. Tailoring Requests: You will handle all incoming tailoring requests, prioritizing them based on urgency and complexity. Your ability to work efficiently under pressure will help ensure that all garments are completed to the highest standard and within set deadlines.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar tailoring position is essential, particularly within a hotel environment. Familiarity with laundry operations is also preferred.

• Professional Tailoring Skills: You must possess strong professional tailoring skills and have prior experience creating and altering a variety of clothing items.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in another language is advantageous, allowing for effective communication with a diverse range of guests and team members.
