Your leadership will guide the development and implementation of an innovative curriculum, fostering an environment that promotes holistic development in early childhood education.
This is a unique opportunity, as you will be at the forefront of launching the kindergarten’s operations, with an official opening scheduled for January 2025. We are open to negotiations regarding your start date, with an early commencement being particularly desirable to facilitate a smooth transition and preparation period.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a Finnish University degree in Education or a diploma in Early Childhood Education. Your educational background will serve as the foundation for your leadership and will help you implement effective teaching strategies that reflect the best of Finnish educational practices. In addition, we require a minimum of two years of experience as a kindergarten educator, complemented by previous administrative and pedagogical leadership experience. This experience will enable you to navigate the complexities of managing a new educational institution while ensuring that our pedagogical goals are met.
Your approach to education should be holistic, emphasizing not only academic growth but also social, emotional, and physical development. This philosophy aligns with the core tenets of Finnish education, which prioritizes the well-being and comprehensive development of each child. You will be expected to work collaboratively with a diverse team, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that respects and integrates different cultural perspectives into the curriculum and daily activities.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role. As Principal, you will oversee all aspects of kindergarten operations, from staff management to parent engagement. Clear and effective communication will be vital in building relationships with families, staff, and the wider community, ensuring that everyone is aligned with our vision and goals.
Additionally, you will leverage your expertise in developing and establishing kindergarten policies and practices. This will involve creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. You will also lead the continuous evaluation and improvement of educational programs, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of our students and reflect the highest standards of early childhood education.
