Location: Remote Role
Duration: 36 Months Contract with possibility of extension

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Configuration Engineer who is a subject matter expert (SME) in Workday Financials. This role will lead the configuration and enhancement of our financial systems leveraging a strong technical background in financial system design user acceptance testing and technical documentation. A deep understanding of financial concepts such as Ledger Accounts Cost Centers Journal Entries and Accounts Payable is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the exploration evaluation recommendation design and configuration of new features and functionalities within Workday.
- Conduct fit and gap analysis on Workday processes and upcoming features impacting Finance.
- Serve as the primary SME for all Workday Financialsrelated matters.
- Define technology solutions to align with strategic business initiatives.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during system upgrades and deployments.
- Provide operational and project support to Lead Analysts.
- Develop expertise through training research and experimentation.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes suggest enhancements and present proposals to leadership.
- Address change management issues related to process improvement.
- Lead projects as directed by leadership including managing meetings and adhering to deadlines.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and consultants for support and project activities.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Workday Financials.
- 2 years in project management quality assurance testing and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts: Ledger Accounts Cost Centers Journal Entries etc.
- Experience with Workday HCM modules report writing and dashboards is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong problem identification analysis and solving skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Education: Graduate in any field.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of AR AP GL settlements and suppliers.
- Ability to troubleshoot monthend/yearend activities and processes.
- Experience working efficiently in an Agile environment demonstrating flexibility and collaboration.
