Job Description
Job Title: Phlebotomist.
Location: Danville IL 61832
Duration: 1 Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)
Start date: Jan 2025
Shift Schedule: 6:00 am 2:30 pm and 8:00 am 4:30 pm Monday Friday 40 hours/ week
2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. Midnight
Overtime on an asneeded basis
Qualifications
Phlebotomy certification
Experience: Minimum oneyear experience
Basic Life Support BLS (AHA).
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection using venipuncture understanding test requirements and patient preparation.
- Obtain patient specimens for laboratory testing including blood cultures and compatibility samples.
- Accession receive and transport samples to the lab including those requiring special handling.
Instruct patients on proper collection methods for 24hour urine and other homecollected samples. - Provide general clerical support manage laboratory orders patient information and phone inquiries.
- Stock and maintain specialized supplies for the drawing area and ensure effective customer relations.
