Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. This role requires a hands-on approach and a passion for outdoor hospitality, as the majority of your work will be conducted in our beautiful, sunlit poolside environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Guest Service: Ensure exceptional guest experiences by overseeing service standards, handling guest inquiries and concerns, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including scheduling shifts, training new employees, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Outdoor Operations: Manage the outdoor dining area, ensuring that all aspects of the poolside environment are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Address any issues promptly to enhance guest comfort.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special events, private parties, and poolside functions, ensuring all details are handled efficiently.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety practices, and ensure that all staff comply with these standards.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, seeking feedback and implementing improvements based on their suggestions.
  • Sales and Marketing: Support promotional efforts, contribute to menu development, and assist in driving sales and increasing revenue.

Desired candidate profile

Previous experience in a restaurant management role or supervisory position, preferably in an outdoor or poolside setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
A passion for outdoor work and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
