Roles and responsibilities
The Bartender will be responsible for delivering outstanding service at the bar, crafting high-quality drinks, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role requires expertise in mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage a busy bar environment effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and innovative cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, following established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of drink preparation, presentation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and introduce new drink creations and seasonal specials in alignment with guest preferences and current trends.
- Guest Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and preferences.
- Take and process drink orders efficiently, offering recommendations and upselling as appropriate.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Bar Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including proper storage and handling of beverages, glassware, and equipment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of bar supplies and ingredients, assisting with ordering and stock control as necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all sanitation and food safety practices are followed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other bar and restaurant staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist in training and mentoring new bar staff, providing support and guidance to uphold service standards.
- Foster a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- Upselling and Recommendations:
- Promote and upsell bar menu items, including specialty cocktails, wines, and seasonal promotions.
- Stay knowledgeable about beverage trends, new products, and industry best practices to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.
Desired candidate profile
- Education and Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role, preferably within a high-end or luxury setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar operations.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service or equivalent may be required.
