Job Description
Reporting to the Outlet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides a friendly and personalized welcome for guests
- Offers attentive service and adapts to any constraints guests may have
- Heeds any remarks made by guests and ensures follow-up
- Establishes good relations with guests, offering advice and fostering customer loyalty
- Completes the following tasks:
- Prepares the welcome desk and seat allocation. Takes the reservations and maintains reservation book
- Welcomes guests and provides the best seats available
- Cleans and tidies the restaurant and preparation after closing
- Before every work shift, finds out about dish composition and any shortages
- Organizes his/her work to suit fluctuations in numbers, events, and guests
- Ensures the equipment used remains in good condition

Greeting Guests:
- Welcome guests as they arrive, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Confirm reservations and check guest names against the reservation list.

Seating Arrangements:
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and explaining any specials.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover and ensure efficient service.

Managing Waitlists:
- Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods and communicate estimated wait times to guests.
- Notify guests promptly when their table is ready.

Communication:
- Relay guest needs and special requests to servers and kitchen staff.
- Keep an open line of communication with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations.
Desired candidate profile
- Previous service experience is an asset
- Good command of written and spoken English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.
