• VERY HIGH PROFICIENCY IN PHLEBOTOMY/VENIPUNCTURE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TRAVELER WILL BE DRAWING BLOOD WITH NO BACKUP. TRAVELER WILL BE WORKING ALONE AT NIGHT AFTER 10PM
• BECKMAN DXC700 EXPERIENCE PREFERRED and ACCESS from BECKMAN PREFERRED (Night shift takes care of all machine maintenance)

Performs and assesses validity of qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations used in the analysis diagnosis and treatment of disease utilizing various analyzers or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood urine and other body fluids.

1. Performs qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using automated instrumentation or manual methods using established procedures.
   
2. Performs established quality assurance procedures (quality control testing; instrument function checks and calibrations); maintains appropriate documentation; investigates and resolves deviations from expected performance.
3. Assesses accuracy and validity of obtained test results by applying knowledge of relevant scientific principles; recognized changes that are critical to patient care; identified probably causes for irregular and atypical findings.
4. Maintains records of tests and examinations and final results for all record functions and inquiries related to patient care.
5. Troubleshoots instruments and resolves technical problems whenever possible; documents corrective actions and reports problems to the department Supervisor or Manager as appropriate.
6. May assist in instructing students and laboratory personnel in the principles and techniques of diagnostic tests and examinations.
7. Performs phlebotomy according to established protocols.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
9. Performs order entry and specimen receipt; provides customer service to all customers of the laboratory.

• Minimum 2 years current Medical Technologist/MT/MLS experience Required
• Very High proficiency in BLOOD BANK Experience Required

• HIGH PROFICIENCY IN TESTING IN ALL AREAS OF LAB (MUST BE AN MT GENERALIST) REQUIRED (Chemistry hematology urinalysis and read Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology. PLEASE UPLOAD VERY DETAILED SKILLS CHECKLIST!

• Ortho Gel Manual System in Blood Bank and Beckman Chemistry Highly Preferred
• ASCP or AMT Certification Required
