Job Description
Product Engineer Assistant in Santa Clara CA 95054
Description:
- The Product Engineer Assistant supports the Product Engineering team by performing a variety of tasks including data collection analysis and reporting.
- Expect extensive involvement in assisting with semiconductor IC failure analysis data analysis experiments engineering reports generation and work process documentation.
- This opportunity is designed to provide extensive training and development opportunities preparing the assistant to transition into a fullfledged engineer role in the future.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with fundamental electrical concepts such as Ohms Law
- High attention to detail as required for precise data analysis and root cause investigation
- Excellent notetaking skills and ability to produce concise status updates on current work activities
- Working proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding and application of the ActionPriority Matrix
Desired Skills:
- 1 year or more of experience in product development or other operations engineering support role
- ATE Level Experience (Test/Product) on Agilent 93K (or equivalent)
- SOC/Digital Video/Ethernet/Router design/Board level and IC level debug
- ATE Software and Test Program Debug
- RCCA
- Failure Analysis/Reliability
Education:
- Certification in Electronics or Semiconductor industry focus or Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
Comments:
- Looking for highly motivated individuals seeking experience and a path towards the Product Engineering role.
- Candidates will be working in an ESD controlled testfloor environment and will need to go through required training sessions for access.
- Documentation is a core aspect of this role and the candidate needs to be able to demonstrate clear legible written communication.
- Some work may involve occasional moving and carrying of heavy objects/equipment (less than 20lbs).
- Candidates may be asked to run test operations that require a good level of dexterity (ex: material handtesting)
