Position: Experimental Assembly Mechanic
Location: Wichita KS 67215
Duration: 6 Months

Shift: 06:45 AM 03:15 PM
Job Description:
- Responsible for the assembly of complete prototype and production aircrafts and test articles by installing a variety of sheet metal Composite and/or machined assemblies for new or modified articles according to engineering instructions.
- Responsible for supporting lesser grade team members in the proper assembly and installation of major aircraft assemblies as required to meet engineering and schedule objectives.
- Responsible for FO prevention in all articles and aircrafts that they are assigned to.
- Familiar with the proper use of assembly tooling and fixtures as well as various precision measuring instruments such as micrometers scales and all types of gages.
- May build shopaids jigs and fixtures for Experimental projects.
- Responsible for own work.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Tools Required:
Air Tools:
- Standard drill
- 90 degree drill
- Rivet gun/bucking bars
- Dotco
Other Tools:
- Scales. 6 and 12 tape measure
- Dial calipers
- Cleco plyers
- Donut for installing/removing draw clecos
- Mallet/hammer
- Spring punch and standard punch set
- Standard socket set/wrenches
- Standard screwdriver set/plyers
Skills Education & Qualifications:
- High School or GED equivalent
- Minimum 3 to 5 years sheet metal airframe assembly experience required
