Overview:
The Data Architect will support the Florida Department of Children and Families by designing scalable data architectures managing SQL pools implementing data governance practices and optimizing data processes. The role requires a hybrid work arrangement in Tallahassee FL.
Position:
- 4 years of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics SQL Pools Azure SQL Database and Azure Managed Instance.
- Expertise in data architecture design ETL pipeline management and data governance.
- Strong problemsolving and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Manage Dedicated SQL Pools and optimize databases for performance and security.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines for efficient data integration.
- Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and security compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics SQL Pools and Azure SQL Database.
- 5 years of experience with advanced TSQL stored procedures and data modeling.
- Experience in data governance cloud computing (Azure) and data security compliance.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python Scala) and integration tools (Salesforce MuleSoft).
Additional Information:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform are desirable but not required.
Candidate Details:
- Strong leadership communication and customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to design and implement robust data architectures.
