Job Description
Role: Project Manager MES Project Manager
Location/Time Zone: US / EST or CST
Experience Level: 8 years of project management experience in MES implementations
Job Type: Remote
Client: TechM / GE Aviation
Rate: $60$80/hr. C2C
Key Responsibilities:
Experience and Certifications:
- Project management experience of shopfloor enterprise application development and deployment for industrial manufacturing companies
- Proven track record of managing multisite projects.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
Technical and Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with MES software solutions and their functionalities.
- Highlevel awareness of the technical architecture needed to support MES applications
- Experience in the DT/IT function within aerospace & defense systems manufacturers.
- Understanding of MES systems and their integration with other enterprise systems like ERP PLM etc.
Project Management and Leadership Skills:
- Expertise in project planning tools (e.g. Smartsheet MS Project) and developing detailed project plans schedules and timelines.
- Experience in identifying assessing and mitigating project risks and managing project budgets and financials.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Quality Compliance and Support:
- Understanding of quality management principles and practices ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Knowledge of industryspecific regulations and standards ensuring project compliance with relevant regulations.
- Experience in managing the implementation and deployment phases of MES projects coordinating with vendors and thirdparty service providers.
Additional
- Manage the entire lifecycle of MES projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop project plans manage timelines and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress manage risks and adjust as necessary to meet project objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing largescale MES implementations.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct project teams.
- Excellent organizational time management and negotiation skills.
- Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred.
