Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Provide direction to facilitate goal-setting process in line with Corporate and Marketing Department.
  • Goal setting per supervisor with a frequent monitoring of their performance; follow up sales administration, monitor progress, measure results, reward incentive payments and perform appraisals.
  • Select, interview new recruits to the sales team and provide in-field coaching to facilitate succession planning.
  • Control and monitor implementation of sales strategies and tactics and provide feedback and market intelligence to Marketing Department.
  • Improve contacts with key accounts: identify opportunities for corporate marketing and cultivate as appropriate.
  • Follow up with different outlets/key accounts and monitoring the sales and stocks
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures and serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of Abbott occupational health, safety and environmental programs.

Education/Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce/General Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in trade management role, with 3 years “Achieve Expectations” overall achievement (or above).
  • Strong coaching and leadership profile.
  • Organization and Industry intelligence.
  • Strong selling skills base.
  • Analytical skills and territorial planning technique.
  • Computer skills is a must.
  • Good command of English Language.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a sales team to achieve targets and goals.

  • Sales Expertise: In-depth knowledge of sales processes, techniques, and strategies to drive effective sales initiatives.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively to team members and clients.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Proficiency in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to enhance customer loyalty.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with overall business goals.

  • Analytical Skills: Competence in analyzing sales data, market trends, and team performance to inform decision-making.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities to close deals and manage client contracts effectively.

  • Coaching and Training: Skills to mentor and train team members, improving their sales techniques and performance.

  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, balancing multiple responsibilities.

  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of the industry, competitors, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing market conditions and business needs.

  • Budget Management: Understanding of financial principles to manage sales budgets and forecasts.
