Job Description

Position: Senior Developer/Programmer
Location: Raleigh NC (27601)
Client: State of North Carolina
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer/Programmer to join a dynamic team focused on migrating legacy applications to modern ASP.NET Core frameworks. This role demands expertise in both frontend and backend development with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems. Candidates will collaborate with business owners to ensure accurate business logic is maintained while updating applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop ASP.NET Core web applications.
  • Migrate legacy applications from VB6 and classic ASP.
  • Optimize SQL scripts and troubleshoot application errors.
  • Use GIT for source control in a collaborative environment.
  • Document application features and processes.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in VB6 VBScript C# TSQL and PL/SQL (5 years).
  • Experienced in ASP.NET development (both .NET Framework and .NET Core).
  • Familiar with Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes and SQL Server tools.
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML CSS JavaScript and frameworks like jQuery and React.
