Job Description

Position: Security Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Richmond VA 23225
Client: State of Virginia
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Security Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance our IT Security team. This role focuses on improving security posture by identifying gaps and recommending technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary resource for security technology solutions and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies that align with organizational goals.
  • Guide the deployment and integration of security technologies across teams.
  • Identify security risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in refining security policies and procedures to meet compliance standards.

Required Technical Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in information security focusing on security technologies.
  • Proven expertise in security technologies (e.g. SIEM DLP IAM cloud security).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in documentation tools (e.g. Microsoft Word Confluence).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CCSP) preferred.
