You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe're seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance of our IM fleet, manage parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising maintenance activities, managing contracts, and addressing emergency situations 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and document scheduled maintenance and repairs
Manage contractors and maintenance teams
Handle inventory and parts procurement
Inspect vehicles and resolve issues with third-party fleets
Maintenance Scheduling:
Develop and implement a maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles, ensuring timely servicing and repairs.
Monitor maintenance history and proactively schedule preventative maintenance to extend vehicle life.
Inspection and Compliance:
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding vehicle operation and maintenance.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and vehicle performance metrics.
Prepare reports on fleet performance, costs, and maintenance trends for management.
Vendor Management:
Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs and services as needed.
Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective service.
Budget Management:
Assist in developing and managing the fleet maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Team Coordination:
Problem Solving:
High School diploma or relevant certificate/degree
4+ years of experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Valid Qatari driving license
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, as well as familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage schedules, records, and maintenance workflows.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and management.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze maintenance data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of work and safety.
Team Coordination:
Supervise maintenance staff or coordinate with mechanics and technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.
Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on best practices and safety procedures.
Problem Solving:
Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues, working closely with maintenance staff and vendors to identify and implement solutions.
