Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Demonstrated experience in survey data analysis, compensation and benefits modeling and implementation.

▪ Proficient in MS Excel to work with large quantities of sensitive data.

▪ Ability to create compelling presentations and storytelling.

▪ Expert knowledge and understanding of contemporary Job Design, Evaluation and Grading frameworks and theories.

▪Ability to prepare occupational classifications, salary scales and reports to summarize job analysis, evaluation and compensation analysis information.

▪ Team player with interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to successfully execute action plans that support business objectives.

▪ Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people with diverse viewpoints and backgrounds.

▪ Sensitive to cultural norms.

▪ Ability to be innovative, flexible and creative in resolving issues.

▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

▪ Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Compensation Analysis:

    • Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark salaries and benefits against industry standards and trends.
    • Evaluate internal equity and ensure compensation practices are fair and competitive.
  • Salary Structure Development:

    • Design and maintain salary structures, pay grades, and compensation policies that align with organizational goals.
    • Develop job descriptions and evaluate job positions for proper classification.
  • Compensation Administration:

    • Oversee the administration of salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentive programs.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of compensation-related transactions and reports.
  • Benefits Management:

    • Collaborate with HR and benefits providers to design, implement, and manage employee benefits programs.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of benefits offerings and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding compensation practices, including wage and hour laws.
    • Stay updated on changes in labor laws and compensation regulations.
  • Reporting and Analytics:

    • Prepare regular reports and analytics on compensation metrics, trends, and outcomes for management and stakeholders.
    • Utilize data to support compensation decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Employee Communication:

    • Develop communication materials to educate employees about compensation policies, pay structures, and benefits programs.
    • Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Job Evaluation:

    • Conduct job evaluations to assess the value of positions within the organization and ensure equitable compensation.
    • Utilize established job evaluation methods and tools to maintain consistency.

Desired candidate profile

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Organizational Design or a relevant quantitative based Science discipline

▪ 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, which includes benchmarking, plan design, salary management, HR administration and supporting a diverse workforce
Experience in job evaluation and salary benchmarking is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS).
Familiarity with compensation management software and benefits administration systems.
Knowledge of Regulations:

Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and reporting.
Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying compensation policies to employees and stakeholders.
Ability to create clear and informative reports and presentations.
Problem-Solving Abilities:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate compensation data and make informed recommendations.
Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external vendors.
Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and partnership.
Project Management:

Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Continuous Learning:
