About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Solutions Sales Engineer to join our team. This role requires a blend of technical engineering expertise and sales acumen to effectively promote and sell products in niche markets such as nuclear power plant shielding medical facility shielding pharmaceuticals and specialty lead parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background paired with excellent customer service skills enabling them to identify customer needs propose innovative solutions and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and communicate technical specifications through blueprint reading ensuring client needs are understood and addressed.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to align with sales targets and overall business goals.
- Leverage commodity purchasing experience to source materials at competitive prices and maintain cost efficiency.
- Provide toptier customer service to foster longlasting client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
- Apply project management skills to oversee product design development and delivery ensuring timelines and specifications are met.
- Gain indepth expertise in the companys product offerings and stay informed about market trends.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the targeted markets to drive growth.
- Collaborate internally with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless project execution cost optimization and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver detailed and competitive proposals and quotes in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical product design.
- Experience with budgeting forecasting and managing financial aspects of sales projects.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment particularly in technical sales or a similar role.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in technical sales or a solutionsbased sales role.
- Knowledge of commodity purchasing processes and contract negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital printing or similar customized technical solutions.
- Familiarity with markets such as nuclear power medical shielding or specialty lead components.
- Prior experience working with engineering teams to manage production and cost processes.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and customer growth.
