Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Electrician to join our team in Charleston SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems in residential homes. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of electrical systems who is detailoriented and committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install repair and maintain residential electrical systems including wiring lighting and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local state and national electrical codes.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards and ensure safety.
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to plan and complete electrical projects.
- Install and upgrade electrical outlets switches and light fixtures.
- Interpret and follow blueprints technical diagrams and schematics.
- Test electrical systems and components for continuity and safety.
- Provide recommendations for energyefficient solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring tools and materials are properly handled and stored.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems wiring and safety codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with smart home technology installations.
- Experience in solar panel or energyefficient electrical systems installation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environments (e.g. heights confined spaces outdoors).
- Ability to stand climb and kneel for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings including residential homes and construction sites. Safety gear and protective equipment will be provided as needed.
