What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Engineering responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional engaging and friendly service
- Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
- Responsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
- Responsible for the installation repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipment
- Preventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to HVAC
- Ensure all work done in the HVAC department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulations
- Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
- Train and assist the shift maintenance colleagues
- Assist other trades as they relate to HVAC maintenance
- Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
- Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- High school and/or technical school education required
- Provincial Journeypersons certificate for Province of Alberta required
- Background HVAC experience or general knowledge of the trade required
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word Excel & Power Point )
- Gas Fitting Ticket an asset
- Valid Alberta drivers license required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
