Job Description

As a Journeyperson HVAC at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies. 

Rate of Pay: $39.88

What you will be doing:  

Reporting to the Director of Engineering responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offers professional engaging and friendly service
  • Follow departmental policies procedures and service standards
  • Responsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
  • Responsible for the installation repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipment
  • Preventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to HVAC
  • Ensure all work done in the HVAC department is in compliance with federal and provincial codes and regulations
  • Ensure all power tools are in good and safe working conditions
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business  
  • Train and assist the shift maintenance colleagues
  • Assist other trades as they relate to HVAC maintenance
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
  • Adhere to the hotels vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

  • High school and/or technical school education required
  • Provincial Journeypersons certificate for Province of Alberta required
  • Background HVAC experience or general knowledge of the trade required
  • VRF system knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required ( Word Excel & Power Point )
  • Gas Fitting Ticket an asset
  • Valid Alberta drivers license required    
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
