What You Will Do
We are currently seeking an adaptable successful and experienced Business Development Manager to join one of our Partner Success Teams. The goal for this individual is to identify new opportunities with the largest most strategic merchants and provide them with all the resources needed to achieve their growth objectives helping Klarna become everyones favorite way to shop. In this role you will:
Build and execute jointly agreedupon business plans with partners or merchants to drive mutual growth and success.
Deliver enhancements to existing brands and identify areas for improvement with key strategic partners.
Work closely with internal analysts delivery and marketing teams at Klarna to drive enablement and lead generation activities.
Identify new partnerships or business opportunities pitch Klarnas services and close new deals upsells and expansion opportunities.
Build strong relationships at both the executive and individual levels.
Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships including Csuite.
Conduct extensive market research to position Klarna optimally.
Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships.
Ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
Create and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews to members of merchants Csuite teams.
Adapt the business model to be culturally relevant without losing its identity.
Play an important role in taking Klarna to the next level.
Who You Are
6 years in Business Development Account Management or Sales.
Experience in retail payments technology and/or ecommerce.
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Highly driven with a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures.
Desire to build a business from the ground up.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
Fluency in German and English.
Awesome to Have
Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
Experience with international markets and crosscultural communication.
Experience with CRM tools and data analysis software.

At Klarna our compensation package includes a base salary and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). To ensure fairness and maintain global market competitiveness each role in a specific location has a set base salary. During the recruitment process we will assess your skills and experience to determine which role is the best fit for you.
Our RSU program features a 4year vesting schedule allowing you to gradually become a shareholder in Klarna. Additionally you may qualify for our ContributionBased Reward (CBR) program which recognizes and rewards significant contributions to our success.
