Job Description

2 months contract with a Local Authority

Job Summary:

  • As a member of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) team within the Learning and Skills Group you will support the delivery of the transformation programme in line with the Council s vision values and strategic objectives.
  • The main purpose of the post is to enable young people with learning difficulties & disabilities to achieve their full potential at key transition points and in so doing make suitable wellinformed decisions about next steps in education training or employment.

Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):

  • To write and amend Education Health and Care plans and manage casework throughout the Education Health and Care needs assessment (EHCNA) from first referral to completion ensuring a personcentred approach and functions are carried out in line with LA policies and SEN legislation to the standards and timescales expected in the Code of Practice 025.

Additional Information:

  • SEN Case Officer (Grade 11 SCP 29 33) Education Qualified.
  • Remote role.
