Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Group Sales responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively managing small group sales lead with peak between 860 room nights.
- Exceed personal sales goals monthly quarterly annually through account development and maintenance.
- Scheduling effective sales calls and appointments within assigned markets participating in prescribed training and special projects assisting in the development and training of sales coordinator collecting market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and longterm goals
- Consistently offers prompt professional engaging and friendly service
- Responsibilities including quoting rates and negotiate group rooms contracts within established parameters keeping accurate records of potential customers and following through on all potential business
- Coordinating with Convention Services and Catering and/or other hotel departments to ensure delivery of hotels promised services
- Utilizing Opera Sales and Catering System to track solicit book and followup accounts and preparing weekly monthly quarterly and annual reports as required
- Develop lead sources and rapport with key personnel at Convention and Visitors Bureau Industry Partners and Fairmont Global Sales Offices
- Maintain active membership in industry related organizations and associations pertaining to the specific market.
- Support goals objectives and philosophies of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle
Qualifications :
- Must be able to legally work in the US without restriction now or in the future
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Group Sales role in a luxury hotel environment
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating a highperforming sales team
- Excellent negotiation communication and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of the group sales process market dynamics and customer requirements in the luxury hospitality sector
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in CRM software Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant sales management tools
- Excellent time management skills to handle last minute request/work with short turn around time
- Must hold valid USA work authorization
