Job Description
Tailor
The Tailor will be responsible for making altering and repairing garments according to team member specifications. A keen eye for detail strong sewing skills and the ability to work with a variety of fabrics and styles.
- Do accurate measurements to ensure proper fit.
- Sew garments using needles and thread or sewing machines.
- Alter and repair garments including shortening or lengthening sleeves taking in or letting out seams and replacing zippers.
- Work with various fabrics such as cotton wool silk and synthetic fibers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Handle administrative tasks such as taking orders managing schedules and keeping records of alterations.
- Assist with other duties assigned.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a tailor or similar role.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques.
- Knowledge of different types of fabrics and garment construction.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
