Raffles Al Areen Palace in Bahrain is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a GCC Sales Manager. As a luxury resort we are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and has a proven track record of exceeding targets in the GCC region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the GCC market
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the GCC region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition
- Positively communicate the hotel image to existing and potential customer at all times.
- Ensure that revenues and / or cost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
- Report on trends in the industry and local markets.
- Maintain a calendar allowing you to meet all established deadlines and planned sales trips.
- Maintain accurate information on all new and ongoing leads and accounts including solicitation efforts.
- Establishes and sign contracts considering the official Rate Policy in coordination with the DOSM.
- Special deals (out of guidelines and rate policy) must in any case be discussed coordinated and approved prior to offer with the hotels management.
- Be the one point contact from the Sales team with the external client he/she is dealing with and handle responsively any escalations relating to the concerned client.
- Ensure that targets set by the hotel are met consistently.
- Thoroughly familiarizes oneself with the Hotels emergency procedures and is in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
- Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong network of contacts within the GCC region
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
