The Role
Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for leading mentoring and motivating your team while ensuring they deliver professional efficient and consistent service standards. This is a handson role where you will oversee the service of food & beverage with a constant focus on providing excellent guest experiences while exceeding in your ability to train hospitality staff through tailored programs staying updated with industry trends. Furthermore your duties will also include;
- Ensure the service of food and beverage within the restaurant room service conferencing and occasional residential catering are at a consistently high standard.
- Aligning staff initiatives such as recruitment and training for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure constant liaison with the Conference & Events Manager Marketing Manager Venue Manager and Executive Chef in order to maximize F&B profits in all F&B areas.
- Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen team to ensure service times are adhered to and ensure a seamless operation between front and back of house operations and a positive working environment.
- Ensure all misenplace is completed prior to guests arriving.
- Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Several years of experience in the restaurant industry particularly in a highend restaurant or hotel;
- Previous experience in managing staff and restaurant operations is essential;
- Knowledge of wines and experience as a sommelier would be advantageous.
- A genuine love for and interest in all things food and beverage.
