As our next Assistant Manager Food & Beverage you
- To be accountable for the operations of the outlet through effective people skills while maximizing profitability and meeting customer needs.
- To support revenue initiatives and maintain cost control
- A hands on approach is required as is to work as part of a team to provide efficient food and beverage service.
- Manage the service of food and beverage within the restaurant / bar and room service conferencing and outside catering
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets work areas tableware utensils and other materials and equipment used by restaurant / bar and room service;
- Regular liaison with Maintenance ensuring maintenance requests are completed quickly focusing on guest needs as a priority.
- Coordinate between restaurant / bar and other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences involving restaurant / bar and room service have been made;
- Management and guidance of food & Beverage team
- Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for Food & Beverage Outlets
- Ensure constant liaison with the Conference Sales Manager/s;
- Any other such duties that may from time to time be assigned by the Operations Manager
- Adherence to Emergency Communication procedures ensuring that enquiries from the media are only responded to by the nominated spokesperson
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel Word & PowerPoint
- High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities
- Strong leadership interpersonal and training skills
- Good communication and customer contact skills
