Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in the Government & Policy sector in search of a highly talented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE).
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a nationally significant and fastpaced program. The ideal candidate will provide support for adding new capabilities to a complex system with exacting interface performance and security requirements. This role requires a solid understanding of security practices and policies as well as handson vulnerability testing experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Validate and verify system security requirements for largescale systems in complex network environments
- Identify and implement appropriate information security architectures and functionality
- Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
- Lead and contribute to security planning assessment risk analysis and certification activities
- Collaborate with internal technical experts and communicate with Program Managers
- Participate in program increment planning and related agile team activities
- Analyze and assess system implementation against multiple security compliance policies
- Evaluate review and test securitycritical software
- Audit and assess system security configuration settings using common methodologies and tools
- Support risk assessment continuous monitoring and other IA program support functions
- Plan and conduct security verification testing of relevant type 1 devices
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
- Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
- Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) Certification
- Experience applying Risk Management Framework
- Strong knowledge of common security tools (e.g. Nessus NMAP Wireshark)
- Experience with secure configurations of desktop and server operating systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Assurance or related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience with Defense in Depth Principals/technology (preferred)
- Experience with penetration testing tools (preferred)
