Position Overview:
Join a wellestablished company located on the North Shore where you will lead our Safety First program and take it to the next level.
As our Safety Leader you will be the first responder educator and strategic advisor when it comes to safety. Youll lead by example and be a trusted advisor in creating a safety conscious workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Safety Program within a 300person organization reporting directly to the CSuite.
- Innovate manage and analyze the cost benefits of employee safety engagement education and incentive programs.
- Develop and implement company safety policies drawing on 5 years of progressively responsible safety experience.
- Conduct onsite observations to ensure compliance with OSHA standards working alongside employees and supervisors.
- Oversee daily interactions with supervisors employees and customers to resolve accident/injury issues and promote a consistent safety culture.
- Ensure immediate reporting and education on safe work habits to reduce losttime accidents and improve performance.
- Lead the investigation and remediation of all safety incidents involving employees or assets including injuries near misses or property damage.
- Serve as the primary liaison with insurance companies on workers compensation and automobile liability claims.
- Conduct safety orientations for new hires and manage an ongoing annual safety training calendar.
- Assess job tools and make safety recommendations while driving OSHA compliance in the field and improving safety records.
- Work with customers to promote safe working conditions for employees on their sites.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of safety management experience in a progressively responsible role.
- Proven history of investigating incidents and improving outcomes for both the company and its employees.
- Deep familiarity with OSHA compliance heavy equipment operation and constructionrelated tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problemsolving and multitasking abilities especially in dynamic field conditions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential to your success.
