Job Description

The Head Butler is responsible for leading the Raffles Jakarta Butler Team continually striving to provide emotional luxury for all guests. Reporting to the Director of Guest Experience Quality and Loyalty this role encompasses the management of the Butler team execution of managerial duties and any other tasks assigned by the management. Additionally the Head Butler is accountable for achieving established targets.


Qualifications :

  1. Education: A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management Tourism or a related field is required. Certification in luxury guest services or butler services is an advantage as it provides a deeper understanding of the specialized demands of the role.
  2. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is a must for this position given the diverse guests. Additional language skills are highly regarded as they contribute to a more personalized guest experience.
  3. Leadership Experience: Candidates should have 35 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment. This includes a proven track record of managing a butler team or other guestfacing staff in a supervisory or managerial role.
  4. Luxury Service Expertise: Indepth experience with luxury guest service standards is essential. Familiarity with emotional luxury including personalized service for VIPs and highprofile guests is critical for success in this role.
  5. Operational Management: Candidates must have experience managing staff schedules conducting training and overseeing performance management. A demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets in guest satisfaction and team performance is required.
  6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with guests and leading a team effectively. Strong interpersonal abilities are required to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and team cohesion.
  7. Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel operations software is necessary. Familiarity with guest feedback systems and other relevant technologies will be considered an advantage.
