Job Description
- Paint maintain and repair painted wallcovered stained and varnished surfaces of building structures rooms furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
- Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including but not limited to measuring surfaces mixing paint matching paint and using brushes rollers and sprayguns.
- Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces.
- Maintain and repair caulked grouted wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining varnishing and lacquering.
- Liaise with individual departments and the Senior Duty Technician in relation to work requirements.
- Plan and prioritise jobs to ensure deadlines are met.
- Completion of set daily tasks.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Manager/Senior Duty Technician or designate to ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels Property Management System (PMS).
- Record all tasks performed both complete and incomplete.
- Primarily perform tasks relevant to experience and trade and any other tasks as required or requested by Management and Supervisors.
Qualifications :
- Considerable knowledge of paint varnish stain enamels lacquers wall coverings masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products.
- Previous experience working in hotel / resort / hospitality settings is preferred.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment including small hand tools.
- Good levels of written and spoken English.
