Reporting to the Zoes General Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Leads the Bartending Team (including the Service Bar) in always performing at the highest standards.
- Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service.
- Assists guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Mix drinks and participate in inventory control measures.
- Participates in the creation of new drinks and sales strategy.
- Responsible for making sure service to Guests is delivered in accordance with Fairmont/LQA Standards at all times.
- Responsible for training of new Colleagues and ongoing training of all Colleagues.
- Manage billing according to procedures and responsible for carrying petty cash.
- In charge of reporting any maintenance of the workplace needed and of its adjacent areas on a daily basis.
- In charge of reporting any maintenance needs of tools and equipments and responsible for the rotation of products.
- In charge of necessary ingredients preparation syrups and infusion.
- Be an Ambassador of the Brand and maintain a professional and neat appearance.
- Represents and performs Appearances on TV & Social Medias when required by the Hotel.
- Follow outlets policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Always have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
- Always have full knowledge of all menu items garnishes contents and preparation methods.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Head Bartender in a cocktail lounge/bar or similar experience.
- Must have experience crafting custom cocktail lists.
- Excellent knowledge of alcohol mixology and liquor.
- Previous point of sale system experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Have full knowledge of mixology technics such as shake hard shake Cuban roll etc.)
- Have full knowledge of classic cocktails (80 classics cocktails from the International Bar Association).
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Passing grade on mixology recruiting exam.
- Active participation in local and international mixology contests an asset.
