In the role of Assistant Director of Sales MICE and reporting directly into the Director of Sales & Marketing you will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Commercial Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through proactive efforts and sales channels. You will work to develop client engagement levels and a highperforming sales team. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- With the guidance of the Director of Sales be responsible for the day to day management and motivating of the MICE Sales team to ensure the sales budget is achieved/surpassed.
- Prepare and present on a monthly basis the contribution focus and activity of the MICE proactive & reactive sales team.
- Contribute to the development of company sales and marketing initiatives by recommending implementing and monitoring appropriate activity.
- Work closely with the MICE Sales Office Manager on the MICE Diary availability & pricing strategy.
- Lead special projects that are time bound with strong management and communication ensuring the success of each task.
- Be actively involved in the creation and delivery of the hotels sales & marketing plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for the MICE segment.
- To meet all individual KPIs and manage the team to achieve the same.
- Manage a select portfolio of accounts in agreement with the DOSM.
- Part of your role will include conducting sales trips and attending trade shows in both the UK and oversees.
- Assist with the recruitment process for MICE Sales team member ensuring effective processes are in place for the induction training and development of all team members.
- Ensure performance is reviewed on a regular basis recognising and celebrating success and refocusing effort where required.
- To assist in the setting of clear expectations and ensure business strategies are followed and met. Identify areas of risk & opportunity.
- Contribute to relevant management meetings to develop and implement sales initiatives.
- Cooperate with other departments in the hotel particularly Reservations and Banqueting to create an exceptional Guest experience and build a strong & comprehensive sales offering.
- Work with the Accor HQ Sales team to actively develop existing and new relationships and business opportunities.
- Understand and report on new emerging markets/sectors

Qualifications
- Fluency in English written and spoken is a must.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a senior MICE Sales position

- Knowledge of Local European & International MICE Markets & Sectors
- Third level qualification in a relevant field
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
- Strong knowledge of Opera & Delphi FDC
