Director of Information & Telecommunication
The Director of IT is responsible for managing all aspects of technology systems and IT infrastructure across all assets. This includes overseeing the installation maintenance and support of hardware software networks and security systems. The role ensures that technology is optimized to enhance the guest experience and operational efficiency while maintaining cybersecurity and data protection standards.
- Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the overall business goals ensuring technology investments support longterm growth.
- Oversee all IT systems installation configuration and maintenance including property management systems (PMS) pointofsale (POS) systems guest WiFi telecommunications and backoffice systems.
- Ensure that the networks and data are protected from cyber threats through the implementation of robust security measures including firewalls encryption and regular audits.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers negotiating contracts and ensuring timely support for software hardware and network services.
- Lead and manage IT projects including system upgrades new technology rollouts and infrastructure improvements.
- Recruit train and supervise IT staff ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the hotels technology needs.
- Ensure that technology enhances the guest experience providing seamless services such as highspeed internet inroom entertainment and efficient booking and checkin/checkout processes.
- Develop and manage the IT budget ensuring costeffective technology solutions and resource allocation.
- Keep uptodate with the latest trends in hotel technology and recommend innovations that can improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g. PMP ITIL) are a plus.
- Minimum 57 years of IT management experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure including networking cybersecurity server management and software applications relevant to the hotel industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams vendors and complex projects.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of hotel staff and guests.
