Position: Assistant Project Manager Commercial Construction
Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Manager in overseeing assigned construction projects. Working under direct supervision the APM will handle routine daily tasks gather and distribute project information and assist in coordinating project activities. This role requires a team player with excellent communication and client service skills who is adaptable and dependable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager with daytoday project activities ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams.
- Gather organize and distribute project information to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the management of project schedules budgets and timelines.
- Aid in reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure project compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to address any project challenges.
- Participate in project meetings and help manage project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of the construction industry and project management principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
