Your Role
and nbsp;
As an Electrician Helper you will aid senior electricians with basic electrical systems installations.
Duties will be the installation additions alterations and/or repairs of electrical systems conductors and associated materials and equipment within the residential and commercial electrical construction industry. Worksites are typically comprised of remodel new construction and service calls.
You will receive on the job training under the supervision of a Journeyman or Master Electrician acquiring the skills and knowledge of the trade. Experience is preferred but not necessary will train the right person.

Responsibilities can include:
- Assist in bending conduit pulling wire lighting layout
- Perform all electrical tasks with general supervision
- Learn to Install controls and electrical distribution packages such as panels disconnects switches relays and circuit breaker
- Working as a team and maintaining positive communication with colleagues and field supervisors
- Assist in assembling installing testing or maintaining electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances apparatus or fixture
- Assist in repairing or replacing wiring equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Always monitor processes materials and surroundings to detect and assess problems
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to troubleshoot circuits and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot lighting and learn lighting control systems.
- Ability to learn and follow National Electrical Code.
- Understand and read schematic diagrams blueprints and other specifications.
- Ability to accept direction and follow established company procedures.
- Ability to measure cut bend assemble and install electrical conduit.
- Knowledge and ability to install electrical rough in materials
- Ability to be on time ready to work and ready to learn
- Ability to work independently and selfmanage
- Good listening skills to be able to effectively follow instructions and directions accordingly
- Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers voltmeter etc.)
- Good color vision and an ability to distinguish wires based on their colors

- Good physical strength and stamina to work effectively in a hazardous and uncomfortable environment
- Strong communication interpersonal and teamwork skills and an ability to establish and maintain constructive and corporation working relationships

Working Conditions and amp; Requirements:

- Job requires working in all elements depending on the job location and time of the year to include heat cold wind and rain
- Must be able to sit reach stand crawl stoop bend crouch kneel push and pull objects and routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds
- The nature of the work may require you to work in restricted areas (closets tunnels crawl spaces attics)
- Must be able to perform work at various heights of up to 50 from ladders scaffolds aerial lifts cat walks or other safe work areas
- Know how to operate scissor lifts
- Repetitive use of arms hands and fingers
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
- Able to work 8 hours per day 40 hours per week and overtime as required
- Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat safety glasses at all times) respirator when required
