Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain HSE policies ensuring compliance with regulations and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department on HSE strategy setting and achieving annual targets.
- Conduct regular facility audits risk assessments and inspections recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead employee safety training programs including fire prevention hazardous materials handling and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage timely submission of permits and reports.
- Investigate incidents determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Support crisis management and emergency response plans conducting drills and maintaining readiness.
- Lead internal and external HSE audits ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Promote a proactive safety culture engaging employees in HSE initiatives.
- Maintain safety permits licenses and certifications and liaise with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Health Environmental Management or related field.
- 710 years of HSE management experience with at least preferably 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the chemical oil & gas or related industries is highly preferred.
- Preferably certified with WSH Level C or higher and registered as a Fire Safety Manager.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations risk management and ISO standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to foster a positive safety culture and mentor others.
