Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Proposal Development:
  • Analyze client requirements and specifications to create detailed and competitive proposals for low voltage electrical panels, UPS systems, and explosion-proof equipment.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with client needs and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the proposal phase, addressing technical queries and providing timely responses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Project Estimation:
  • Conduct thorough cost estimations, including labour, materials, and overheads, to develop accurate pricing for proposals.
  • Analyse project scope and requirements to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams throughout the proposal and pre-sales phases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure proposals reflect the latest standards and technologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive proposal documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and compliance certificates.
  • Generate reports on proposal status, including win/loss ratios and feedback, to support continuous improvement
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Participate in internal meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to enhance proposal quality and effectiveness.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively across departments.

Desired candidate profile


Professional Engineering degree in Electrical
Experience range required 6-10 years.
Experience with advanced proposal management software and tools.
Knowledge of international standards and regulations related to electrical equipment.
Relevant Certifications: Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or proposal management can be advantageous.
Key Skills
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical specifications relevant to the industry.
Proposal Writing: Excellent writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling proposals.
Experience
experience in proposal engineering, project management, or a related field, preferably within the same industry.
Project Involvement: Experience in developing proposals for complex projects, including cost estimation and project planning.
Technical Skills
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with proposal management software (e.g., Proposify, RFPIO) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze technical data and requirements to prepare accurate proposals.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
