You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailTo assist in the development of key performance indicators and service quality standards for ICT services and to prepare data for publication on the website in relation to the ICT sector operating system. The incumbent will also be responsible for conducting research on similar functions to measure the performance of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze information collected from various applications.
Analyze reports issued within the department by the Consumer Awareness and Research Section and the Consumer Protection and Complaints Section, identifying different trends and recurring patterns in the analysis of reports.
Prepare reports that highlight the performance of service providers based on the standards and regulations set by the department
Assist the Service Quality Monitoring Specialist in conducting regular field measurements
Assist the Service Quality Monitoring Specialist in selecting the fixed service in coordination with the Technical Affairs Department
1. Research and Analysis
Literature Review: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to understand existing QoS metrics, models, and methodologies.
Data Collection: Gather data on service performance metrics through experiments, simulations, or field studies.
2. QoS Evaluation
Metric Development: Develop and refine QoS metrics to assess the performance of systems and services.
Performance Assessment: Analyze the collected data to evaluate service quality, including latency, bandwidth, reliability, and user satisfaction.
3. Methodology Design
Experimental Design: Design and implement experiments to test QoS under various conditions and configurations.
Simulation Models: Create simulation models to predict QoS outcomes in different scenarios and validate theoretical approaches.
4. Reporting and Documentation
Research Findings: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings, including methodologies, results, and recommendations for improvement.
Publication: Contribute to academic and industry publications to disseminate research results and findings.
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Telecommunications or related field is required.
Experience
A minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a regulatory entity in the ICT and/or Postal sector(s).
Relevant Certifications: Certifications in networking or telecommunications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) can be beneficial.
Key Skills
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of QoS concepts, metrics, and models in networking and telecommunications.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods for evaluating service performance.
Experience
experience in QoS research, network engineering, or related fields, with a focus on performance evaluation.
Project Involvement: Experience in conducting research studies or projects related to QoS or network performance.
Technical Skills
Simulation Tools: Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, ns-3) for QoS analysis.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) for data analysis and simulation development.
Soft Skills
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage with various stakeholders.
