Job Description

Red Ember is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager for a Hotel in Cape Town. Someone who can achieves budgeted revenues including conceptualization promotions managing expenses and maximizes profitability related to the food and beverage department.

SKILLS EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Threeyear college degree or equivalent education/ experience.
  • Four to five years of employment in a related position in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for management of people complex problems and food and beverage management.
  • Ability to study analyse and interpret complex activities.
  • Must possess highly developed communication skills to negotiate convince sell and influence other managerial personnel hotel guests and /or corporate clients
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Computer literacy

Requirements

  • Front Office and Cashiering experience an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English
  • Display a high level of emotional intelligence and be well groomed.
  • Customer orientation professional charm and sophistication is an advantage
  • Ability to work shifts and occasional overtime

Implement and execute corrective action plans to improve poor operating or low profitability restaurants Ensure standards and regulation compliance of the Operations team. Identify and communicate operational and financial risks and create corrective action plans
