Position Overview:
The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing air or ocean shipments ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines preparing quotes and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in international freight forwarding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daytoday operations for air or ocean import/export shipments.
- Prealert agents and shippers organize and prepare necessary documentation and follow up with steamship lines.
- Maintain daily reports for pending shipments and ensure all required documents are received.
- File relevant documentation to process shipments and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Arrange pickups deliveries and container loading as necessary.
- Provide regular customer service updates including tracking cargo from origin to destination.
- Set up billing and handle payables related to shipments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.
- 2 years of customer service experience preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency in CargoWise or similar freight management software is advantageous.
- Strong communication and followup skills to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ability to work both independently and in a crossfunctional team environment to achieve results.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.

Compensation: $50000.00 $65000.00 per year
