Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in the government and policy sector in search of a highly talented DevOps / Kubernetes Engineer.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Kubernetes Engineer to assist with the development integration deployment and sustainment of missioncritical systems. The ideal candidate will automate manual processes maintain and operate new processes and support the deployment of microservices via a DevSecOps pipeline within a Windows and Linuxbased multitenant environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop Windows automation using Python and/or Microsoft PowerShell
- Develop update and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code
- Configure troubleshoot and deploy docker containers
- Review code within Git and extract/create engineering documentation as needed
- Support Developer deployments and testing in the environment
- Provide technical guidance for all capabilities/microservices
- Create and maintain DevOps documentation
- Conduct security remediation as needed from scans
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science or closely related discipline with 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required OR active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a Polygraph
- Security certification or higher
- 23 years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure preferably with OpenShift or EKS
- 23 years of recent experience in Docker containers
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerShell Python or similar scripting languages
- Experience administrating both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of custom code development/reviews
- Experience with GitLab functionality error codes and scripting
- Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation S3 ECS)
- Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda API gateway load balancing autoscaling)
- Experience supporting development testing and cloudbased architectures
- Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of software development and sustainment practices
- Familiarity with team collaboration tools (Jira Confluence RocketChat)
